Another awesome weekend at Forest. Our group was initially going to be SO small but last minute we ended up pulling together a really solid group … All friends of friends and what not.
Paper diamond, Andy C, Flying lotus, & the miss Lauryn Hill incident were a few of my favorite sets. I pitched my own tent for the first time. Utilized my hammock. Drank a delicious Bloody Mary our neighbor made for me. As if the dancing, sights and interactions weren’t enough, I believe one of the most notable moments happened on day 2.
On day 2, the staff put up barrier gates to make more uniform lines entering the forest. I think they were over the eager attendees bum rushing the entrance. As soon as everyone entered the line and it got moving, everyone took the opportunity to high five each and every stranger as they walking thru the maze of barrier gates. (Picture above) Literally everyone was high-fiving each other. It was so rad. I don’t think there’s a more loving or positive place than EF.
So many ridiculous, creative and hilarious totems. As you scan the crowd you see so many random objects, signs and things being held up and shaken in the air like it’s the most awesome thing in the world. Everyone’s stoked on everyone else’s energy and anything goes.
So many moments this weekend brought a tear to my eye. Endless surreal moments.
